Indie Gaming
Most of these programs, if not all of them, will be back for 2013. Ben
loved the Indie Gamers so much, he has committed to doing an excellent job
for us again this year.
AnCon has always been a place for the Independent Game Designer to
bring their creations to their intended audiences - and this year we're
making it official. We believe the Indies are and have always been the
soul of the Gaming Industry - capturing both our attention and imagination
by applying their own to the craft. Through the hard work of
Ben Kanelos - Indie Gaming
Coordinator - we are excited to offer several ways to participate in Indie
Games.
- InDeCom
is an Independent Games Design Competition that brings together
designers and players to create interest and feedback for prototype
and first edition games.
- Dapper
Dash expands the reach of InDeCom further by offerring players the
chance to win prizes just for enjoying Independent Games.
-
The
Iron Geek is back - allowing players to have a chance to become an
Independent Designer themselves in a test of creativity, logic and
stamina.
We are also happy to offer FREE INDIE GAMING -- If you
are a Game Designer who would like to schedule events at AnCon, we will
waive the $1 per game that is a part of normal player fees. Email
Ben Kanelos or
Dan Britt to see if your game
qualifies - and we will give you further instructions on how to submit
your events.
